Welcome! We are 100+ Women Who Care of Oswego, Montgomery and Yorkville (O-MY)
When you donate $100 to a charity, you may wonder if you're making a difference. But when 100 women donate $100 at the same time, they raise $10,000 for a worthy cause. That's real impact. And it only takes an hour.
Simply put, WE are a “giving circle”. We leave our titles and agendas at the door to come together and make a LOCAL difference collectively. We are that “gift” to help start a program or complete a project the recipient never thought possible. We can even fulfill a need when an emergency occurs. (What we are not is a regular funding source or something to depend on to keep an organization running. We are also not a financial institution or holding fund.)

What do we do?
At each of the quarterly meetings members nominate charities, three are chosen at random, and after a brief presentation, the members vote on which charity to support. Once the winning charity is announced, every member/team writes a $100 check on the spot directly to that charity. (Teams of 2 or 4 are welcome to join and share in the giving. Teams are considered a single member.)
That’s it! No event planning, no committees, no raffle prize solicitation, no telemarketing, no volunteering – just a group of charity-minded women working together to give back to our own community. We give 100% to the charity. (All charities nominated must be located in and serve, the Oswego, Montgomery and Yorkville communities. Ideally, an organization has 501(c)(3) non-profit status for tax and possible gift matching purposes.
